Natural Antibiotics For Acne - Going Natural Against Acne

February 21st, 2008 admin Posted in Acne Treatment | No Comments »

Natural antibiotics are very underrated when it comes to treating acne. With all the side effects that the medical antibiotics carry while treating your acne, it may be a good choice to switch medical antibiotics to natural antibiotics. Research on long term consumption of medical antibiotics has shown a greater chance of bacterial tolerance and a degraded liver functionality. Currently you might not know what are the best natural antibiotics for acne and how to use them to your advantage, but I assure you that after reading this article you will know just exactly how to treat your acne without expensive and ineffective acne medication.

What I am about to reveal to you is so powerful that you can just stop taking or using any special cleansers, cream, antibiotics, over the counter medications and so on.

The big secret of natural antibiotics for acne

We use antibiotics to kill acne causing bacterias. We have been using those pills or topical gel for such a long time effectively that it is very hard to ignore just how good they are at treating acne. But what most of us don’t know yet is that antibiotics of natural sources exist and still do the job similarly well, if not better, than medical antibiotics.

Wondering what are the best natural antibiotics? Some of the best of these include ginger, turmeric, onions and the similar kinds of plant in the family. They are very good for your health if you just consume them regularly. My personal experience with these herbal remedies has told me that these most overlooked herbs can do a lot more than those conventional acne products or medications.

I have since then stopped using any expensive medicine and products after consuming these magical herbs. In other words I have saved at least a five thousand dollars on medical treatment, cleansers, pills, creams and other so called proactive acne solution.

How to use these magical herbs effectively:

  • You make juices out of them and drink glasses of these herbs as frequent as possible. Since there are no side effects, only positive effect you can expect your body to feel better after drinking these juices. I recommend that you pick one herb that you most like among these herbs and drink them as juices regularly, preferably 3 times a day or more.
  • You can add these herbs to your food.

Basically, it is more effective to drink pure juices of these natural herbs. Ginger, turmeric, onion and other herbs in this family are very effective at killing harmful bacterias, including those that cause acne. Without any side effects, you can consume them with a sense of relief knowing that they would not cause any long term harm to your body. These herbs also will improve your immune system as well as regulate your hormone system. Both of these aspects are very important to any part of your body, let alone your skin and acne condition. With an improved immune system, you body itself will be able to kill acne causing bacterias as well as many many other benefits. And a balanced hormone system will reduce the production of sebum and the chances of the formation of hormonal acne.

Keep in mind that before you go on and try other expensive treatments and medications that are advertised heavily on the TV and magazines, give this treatment option a try too. Just for a month and you can expect your face and acne condition to improve a lot. I am handing you a greater and better solution than what you can get for the expensive acne medications. source

Over Washing Can Worsen The Appearance Of Acne

February 21st, 2008 admin Posted in Acne Information | No Comments »

As a long time acne sufferer from my teenage years and early adult years I feel it is important I pass on some good information that I learnt through having it. One common misconception is that the cleaner your skin is the less acne you will have. Well it is good to have clean skin as it sure does help, but washing your face once in the morning with a cleanser is clean enough.

Here are some reasons why washing your face with an acne cleanser once is enough:

1. When washing face with cleanser more than once per day the skin becomes more greasy. As pores open up further and this makes your skin more susceptible to acne. With less washing the pores become tighter and less greasy and this is what is needed to make your skin less susceptible to acne. A good practice to making pores smaller is to wash your face in cold water.

2. By doing it once a day, as for me it was in the morning the cleanser will have more of an impact. The skin can build up a resistance to over washing and the cleanser but this is less likely to happen by washing once per day.

Washing your face once a day and having a shower at night is more than clean enough to help you in your fight with acne. You must focus on other areas which contribute such as eating healthy, exercising and sleeping well. Also high zinc and fish oil tablets will go a long way to helping you beat the disease of the skin. I have been through this before and tried not washing and washing my face a lot. The best is once a day, not counting showers and shaving.

Make sure to use warm water before you put the acne cleanser on and cold water to take it off as this makes sure no dust or dirt gets in to your skin after you have finishing washing your face or back. source

Acne Treatment for Men

February 21st, 2008 admin Posted in Acne Treatment | No Comments »

When I used to work as a sales associate for a lousy phone company I was always embarrassed to give out a sales pitch because of my horrible skin. It was everything that bad skin was. My skin was too oily. When I would try to prevent it from becoming to oily it then became to dry and my skin started to peal and then creating even more pimples and blemishes. I could not even get at least one sale in one day or two days. I was frustrated with my skin and I felt like ripping it off. Until i found the best acne treatment for men.

So, then I started looking in the internet for acne treatment for men. I was then came upon a remedy that changed my life forever. The remedy was simple did not take that much time or money. Let me remind you that I have tried Proactive, Murad, Acne Free, Clearsil, Neutragena, and everything else that promises you clear skin. The remedy included Baking Soda, and a hot rag or towel. I would then start off with the baking soda. I would make the baking soda into a paste by mixing it with a little bit of water. The remedy said to apply to affected areas. My whole face was affected so I just had to apply the paste to my whole face. Every night I would apply this paste. The paste drys your pimples out leaving them to look and feel like frozen little mountains. Don’t worry they will only look like this with the paste on. So every morning I would wash off the paste because it drys up into sort of like a facial mask. Once I wash my face it feels refreshing and almost all pimples are washed off along with baking soda.

I would then cover my face with a hot cloth. This hot cloth will open my pores, which some people think its a bad thing but it will allow for the dirt in my pores to wash away. I would do this about everyday or every other day. On the 2nd week my skin was completed clear. I did not have to use lotion on my face anymore, I did not have to go through a 30 min 3 step process to wash my face. By far this was an amazing acne treatment for men. I just followed those instructions on the remedy and had clear skin within 2 weeks. For me this was the best acne treatment for men. I think everyone should know this method it can work for anybody. Thanks to this remedy I now have clear skin. source

Acne Treatment - Medication or Natural Cures

February 19th, 2008 admin Posted in Acne Treatment | No Comments »

If you are reading this the chances are that you are one of the 80% of people who have been affected by acne problems , most commonly in the teenage years. For some it can be very embarrassing and demoralising to find your face covered in spots and inflamed red patches.

The question is: How do you deal with it? How do you cure acne?

Acne creams The answer for many people is to buy some over-the-counter product, usually a cream in the hope that the product will “zap those zits”. Unfortunately many of these products simply don’t work. They don’t work because they focus on dealing with the symptoms, individual spots, rather than the cause of the acne. While a cream may be zapping an individual zit the skin is generating new spots and pimples.

Acne spots and pimples don’t just appear out of nowhere. They appear because of a problem below the surface of the skin. Over-the-counter products don’t deal with this problem. Why go to the trouble of attempting to get rid of one pimple if more are on the way which the cream cannot prevent?

Antibiotics As acne is an infection caused by bacteria then some people try to get a doctor to prescribe an antibiotic. However there are constantly stories in the press about doctors becoming reluctant to over-prescribe antibiotics. There are more and more stories about ’super-bugs’ which are resistant to antibiotics. Antibiotics can be a blunt instrument which can weaken the body’s own immune system leaving you vulnerable to other infections. Outbreaks of acne can occur for several years. Who knows what are the side effects of taking an antibiotic for years on end in a ceaseless battle against acne?

Curing acne not just treating it Curing acne depends on dealing with the causes of acne. Acne pimples break out not suddenly but through a build up over several days of infection under the skin. The pores (tiny holes) in the skin can get blocked by an excess of a naturally produced skin oil, which in normal quantities is fine, but which if over-produced by over-stimulated skin glands, creates a breeding ground for harmful acne-producing bacteria. Stop the over-production of oil and you will go a long way to stopping the acne infection.

So what causes the over-stimulation of the skin glands?

The principal causes of the over-activity of the skin glands are hormonal changes. Teenagers and pregnant women can experience higher levels of hormones called androgens which in turn stimulate the skin glands into greater activity.

Diet Poor diet can also exaggerate hormonal changes leading to acne. A diet high in vegetable oils, sugar, caffeine and alcohol can be especially damaging. The worst culprit is vegetable oil, which is not only used in cooking but also appears in many junk foods and snacks such as chips, french fries, and cookies. Many processed foods and most soft drinks contain high and hidden levels of sugar. Sugar is so addictive that if you eat a lot in processed foods you will want more and more of similar foods.

Healthy diet By contrast a diet rich in fresh or frozen vegetables have been found to reduce significantly outbreaks of acne, even for teenagers who are experiencing turbulent hormone changes. A key weapon is to drink water, lots of it. At least 10 glasses a day. Stopping the body from becoming dehydrated will help keep the body ‘in balance’. That will help stabilise the natural functioning of the body.

So there is a cure for acne for many people. It is a natural cure, a natural remedy which you can apply to yourself at home. It is a cure for acne which you know you can trust because it can start to restore the natural health of the whole body. Work on that and you will develop a natural cure for your specific problem of acne. Good luck. source

Why Is Acne Increased During Pregnancy?

February 19th, 2008 admin Posted in Acne Information | No Comments »

The body, as a direct result of pregnancy, experiences such a vast array of changes in only a short amount of time, leaving you often confused and concerning about why is acne increased during pregnancy. For those of you that constantly worry about the onset of cancer or other extremely serious conditions during your pregnancy can relax a small bit and try to understand that increased acne activity is actually normal during a pregnancy.

While pregnant, your body is changing and growing from the moment of conception and along with all that growing and changing comes new and different experiences. The fluid levels, hormones, anti-bodies, etc. are all at such elevated levels during a pregnancy, that at times one of the results is acne. Because of the raised levels of hormones in the woman’s body, acne becomes almost second nature, and during the pregnancy, most acne medications are explicitly off limits for the health and safety of the unborn child.

When explaining the hormones level as a reason why is acne increased during pregnancy, doctors attempt to make it understandable how the level of hormones in your body are responsible for this uncomfortable change. Also regulating the intensity and the surety of experiencing acne during your pregnancy, is the fact of whether or not you suffer from acne regularly during the course of your normal menstruating cycle. If you suffer from acne or small break outs during each of your periods, chances are you are going to experience an elevated to extreme bout of acne during your pregnancy.

Treatment of acne during your pregnancy is narrowed down to only a few options as opposed to the multitude of options available to those that are not pregnant. Because this significantly lessens the treatment field, two of the main choices available that are healthy for your pregnancy are changing your daily diet and your exercise regimen. Doctors and specialists have found that diet and exercise are most often directly linked to some of the main causes of acne, and by changing the type of foods you normally ingest in a day, or simply by beginning or expanding your current exercise routine, you could be well on your way to acne free skin. Consult your doctor and get the basics on why is acne increased during pregnancy and the best treatment options available for your use. Make sure to inform your doctor or dermatologist you are pregnant (if you are) before you discuss treatment plans, as most of the medicines, in both gel and foam forms are dangerous to your pregnancy. source

5 Foods That Are Bad For Acne

February 19th, 2008 admin Posted in Acne | No Comments »

Foods high in sugar or caffeine often stimulate the body to produce more hormones which leads to a worsening of acne conditions. There are certain foods you should eat such as vegetables and certain foods you should stay away from.

Here is a list of the worst foods acne sufferers can eat and drink:

1. Soft Drink. High in sugar and caffeine. The extreme levels can bring up pimples on seemingly perfect skin. It can make a persons acne a lot worse if drank excessively. Stick with drinking a can of soft drink once every two weeks.

2. Chocolate. Many doctors say its a myth that it causes or worsens acne. But the truth of the matter is it is very high in sugar. Eventually leading to breakouts and other blemishes.

3. Full cream dairy milk and ice cream. Fatty dairy products have been known to formulate the pustules inside the skin from which the acne is formed. Often cutting down to skim milk is advised to acne patients by there doctor.

4. Chips and other fried food. Greasy fried chips are high in oil and not good for the skin. Deep fried foods do not have to much of an impact on acne, compared to soft drinks and chocolate but it does have a small negative effect.

5. Protein drinks. Have been known to lead to extra hormone production leading to increased break outs and aggravations of the skin. Best to stay away from all these foods or have them rarely and in moderation.

Sure you might love eating these foods. But if you cut them out from your diet you will notice an improvement in your complexion within two to three weeks. source
